Students not receiving a minimum grade of C in any course work, test, project or final grade will be immediately referred for remediation. Due to the nature of the program, the specifics of remediation, including assignments and due dates will be specifically identified. Should the student successfully complete the remediation, the student is returned to good standing. Failure to successfully complete the remediation in the specified time frame will result in the student being placed on probation until the end of the trimester. Should a student require remediation for a subsequent time in the same trimester, the student is immediately placed on probation. The student must have achieved a minimum grade of 75% in the course at the end of the trimester to return to being in good academic standing. If the student does not return to good academic status by the end of the trimester, the student is terminated from the program.
Students may be placed into probation only once for a specific cause. Students may only be placed on probation twice during their program. Remediation needed for a second occurrence for the same cause will result in termination from the program. A second remediation for a different cause is permitted. Students needing remediation for a third period are terminated from the program.
Students on remediation will not be eligible for Federal Student Aid. Once the Student successfully completes the remediation and receives a passing grade of C for the course for which they were on remediation, the Student will regain eligibility for Federal Student Aid. If the Student does not successfully complete remediation and receives a failing grade for the course, the Student will be withdrawn. |
