Specific Academic Requirements of Eligibility:

VN and PT Programs
VA eligible students must maintain Satisfactory Progress in their program to maintain benefits eligibility.  Students not receiving a minimum grade of C in any course will be referred for remediation.

The purpose of the remedial plan is to improve the student's chance for successful completion of the program and to strengthen areas of concern and/or weakness.  Instructors may refer a student to remediation if the student demonstrates a weakness or a lack of knowledge or performance during the class or clinic.  All students who receive a non-passing grade in any course will be referred for remediation.  Students will be required to attend remediation sessions with the instructor and/or complete remediation assignments.  Failure to attend or complete remediation by the requested date will result in dismissal from the program.  It is the responsibility of the student to adhere to and complete the plan of action in order to remain enrolled.

Students may be placed on remediation for a maximum of three (3) courses during their enrollment. A student may not be referred to remediation more than three (3) times throughout the entire duration of the program. Students may be placed on remediation for a maximum of two (2) courses per module.  Students will be dismissed from the program if a student has completed a total of 3 remediations and obtains a non-passing grade in the 4th course, or if the number classes referred for remediations exceeds two (2) per module.

RT Programs
VA eligible students must maintain Satisfactory Progress in their program to maintain benefits eligibility.  Students not receiving a minimum grade of C in any course work, test, project or final grade will be immediately referred for remediation.  Due to the nature of the program, the specifics of remediation, including assignments and due dates will be specifically identified.  Should the student successfully complete the remediation, the student is returned to good standing. Failure to successfully complete the remediation in the specified time frame will result in the student being placed on probation until the end of the trimester.  Should a student require remediation for a subsequent time in the same trimester, the student is immediately placed on probation.  The student must have achieved a minimum grade of 75% in the course at the end of the trimester to return to being in good academic standing.  If the student does not return to good academic status by the end of the trimester, the student is terminated from the program.

Students may be placed into probation only once for a specific cause.  Students may only be placed on probation twice during their program.  Remediation needed for a second occurrence for the same cause will result in termination from the program.  A second remediation for a different cause is permitted.  Students needing remediation for a third period are terminated from the program.
