What were you doing prior to the Gurnick NM program?
I was working as an MRI technologist at a Radiology clinic.

What made you decide to enroll?
The advancing of diagnostic imaging and the need for Nuclear Medicine Technologists.

What has your overall experience been like?
Since enrolling and starting school at Gurnick, my overall experience has been engaging, informative and educational.

What do you hope to change in your future as a result of enrolling and graduating?
I hope that I may learn the qualifications needed in order to become a successful and competent Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

Being a second-time Gurnick student, would you recommend any of our programs to your colleagues and friends?
Being a second-time Gurnick student, I would definitely recommend their programs to my colleagues and friends. Gurnick provides you the essential tools in order to become successful student and health care provider.

What were you doing prior to Gurnick?

Prior to Gurnick, I was working at a Non-Profit office full time. I received my associates degree in Biology through Sacramento City College and wanted to join a diagnostic imaging program when I was done with college, while working to save up for the program.

What made you decide to enroll?

I found Gurnick through connections at school, as well as doing my research online about diagnostic imaging programs. Gurnicks admission team, and the program Director, Farrah Johnson were extremely helpful with any questions I had, and were passionate about helping me enroll into the program. I was also very drawn to Gurnick Academy because they gave students the opportunity to apply to financial aid which is a big help when enrolling into any medical program.

What has your overall experience been like?

During these first few weeks of the program, the passion and drive I had for Nuclear Medicine and working in the healthcare field has only increased. Our Program Director is extremely helpful and passionate about medicine, teaching, and helping us students which makes the program very enjoyable and exciting.

What do you hope to change in your future as a result of enrolling and graduating?

I am hoping to begin my career in Nuclear Medicine Technology, and be able to create connections and friendships with my peers. Being accepted into this program will open up many opportunities, as well as knowledge about medicine, and being able to care for others.

I have been a registered ARRT MRI Technologist since 2017. Before going to school at Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts for MRI, I worked a handful of jobs. I always knew I wanted to be in the medical field, but unsure what I wanted to do. After a couple of life events, I decided to go back to school. Once I found Gurnick for the A.S. in MRI Program, I knew this was what I wanted to do. Since finishing the program, I have worked at a couple of different facilities and even worked at a new facility where I had to set up all the exam protocols for a new imaging facility for MRI. During this time, I went back to Gurnick to obtain my B.S. in Diagnostic Medical Imaging. I then joined Gurnick Academy where I am the Program Coordinator for the A.S. MRI Program.
