Gurnick Academy is a leading Bay Area private healthcare college offering an extensive variety of nursing and allied healthcare programs such as: Vocational Nurse, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN pathway) as well as healthcare programs: Associate of Science in Physical Therapist Assistant, Associate of Science in Occupational Therapy Assistant, Ultrasound Technology, MRI, Radiologic Technology, and Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Imaging.
We are currently seeking Radiographic Imaging Clinical Instructor, Part-time for our Associate of Science in Radiologic Technology Program at the Concord, CA campus.
Basic Function
The primary function of the Clinical Instructor is to perform clinical visits to oversee radiographic imaging students during clinical rotations at the affiliated clinical sites. This is done through management and oversight of students currently and/or preparing for the clinical rotations, constant communication with clinical sites, clinical coordinator, associate clinical coordinator and program director. The Clinical Instructor also is involved in mentoring students and serves as a liaison between students and clinical staff. Clinical site acquisition assistance/participation and maintenance is also a supporting responsibility for this role. This position also involves conducting on campus laboratory sessions and coordinating and collaborating with on campus lab instructors. This position will host and regularly conduct lab sessions as indicated in the curriculum to support students as they transition in their clinical environment. These on campus laboratory sessions include positioning, digital imaging, etc as needed by the program curriculum and goals.
Requirements
- Associate or higher degree, Bachelor degree preferred
- A minimum of 2 years of direct full-time experience in radiologic technology
- Current CDPH licensure in good standing within their discipline
- Possession of current Radiologic Technologist (RT) credential
- Teaching experience is preferred
- Technology adept to successfully navigate online LMS and learning online platforms to guide student success
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Google suite
- Graduation from an accredited program or an otherwise recognized training entity (e.g., hospital-based program) in the specialty field or subject area
Hourly Pay Range, Part-time: $45.00 – $60.00
