Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts is a leading Bay Area private healthcare college offering an extensive variety of nursing and allied healthcare programs such as: Vocational Nurse, Psychiatric Technician and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN pathway) as well as Dental Assistant and Phlebotomy Technician and healthcare programs: Associate of Science in Physical Therapist Assistant, Ultrasound Technology, MRI, Radiologic Technology, and Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Imaging.

Gurnick Academy offers a CAAHEP accredited program, the Associate of Occupational Science in Ultrasound Technology. We are currently seeking an Ultrasound Lab Instructor (General & Vascular) for our San Jose , CA Campus. This is a Ground position at our San Jose Campus

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teach Lab classes according to the assigned schedule.
  • Teach students scanning techniques and approaches
  • Monitor students scanning progress
  • Evaluate student progress and assist with student growth and success with scanning
  • Maintain inventory of all supplies, equipment, AV materials, and laboratory manuals
  • Monitor maintenance of the Skills Lab equipment and assures the cleanliness and efficiency of the Lab
  • Provide technical support and assistance to the Program Director and Faculty
  • Ensure planning, implementation, and evaluation phases of lab experiences are prepared and organized
  • Assist faculty in the development and implementation of detailed, clinically-based scanning protocols
  • Assist the faculty in grading student performance and lab assignments
  • Monitoring and reporting to faculty about student performance in the lab, to include grading of scans
  • Provide tutoring, mentoring, and one on one sessions with the students as directed by the Program Director

Requirements

  • AS Degree, BS Degree preferred
  • ARDMS, RVT, Current licensure in good standing within their discipline
  • Have a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience as a staff sonographer at an imaging facility/hospital/clinic
  • 1-3 Years Experience as an instructor preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Salary Pay Range: $105,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
