Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts is a leading Bay Area private healthcare college offering an extensive variety of nursing and allied healthcare programs such as: Vocational Nurse, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN pathway) as well as Dental Assistant and healthcare programs: Associate of Science in Physical Therapist Assistant, Ultrasound Technology, MRI, Radiologic Technology, and Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Imaging.
Gurnick Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Clinical Coordinator for the X-Ray Technician with Medical Assistant Skills Program at our Sacramento, CA Campus. This is a on-campus and outreach position at our Sacramento, CA Campus.
Basic Function
The primary function of the Clinical Coordinator is to manage day to day clinical rotations of the students at the affiliated clinical sites adhering to all school policy and procedure guidelines, state regulations, and accreditation compliance. This is done through management and oversight of students currently or preparing for the clinical rotations, constant communication with clinical sites, program director or designee and outreach department. Clinical Coordinator also is involved in teaching labs within the program, maintaining Moodle courses, attendance, and grades. Partnership with outreach in acquiring more clinical sites, supporting current clinical sites through training and/or in-service meetings. Supporting students to ensure satisfactory academic progress by offering tutoring, extra time spent with them at clinical sites, and evaluating students with developmental feedback. Record management to meet deadlines regarding student grades, attendance, remediation documentation, and other reprimands are all kept up to date and communicated with the Program Director or designee.
Requirements
- Must possess a minimum of an Associate Degree, preferably Bachelor’s degree.
- Must be current and knowledgeable in radiology content.
- Must be computer literate and proficient in the Google Suite
- Current licensure as X-Ray Technician (XT) permitted in chest, extremities, and Torsoskeletal categories. Radiologic Technologist preferred with California licensure and national registration (ARRT).
- Minimum of 2-4 years direct patient care experience as a Limited X-Ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist at an imaging facility, clinic, or hospital
- Expertise in interpersonal, oral and written communication with proper grammar and spelling.
- Strong organizational skills and time management
- Graduation from an accredited program or an otherwise recognized training entity (e.g., hospital-based program) in the specialty field or subject area.
- Preferred 1-3 years as a Clinical Instructor, Clinical Educator, or Clinical Coordinator in an XT program or RT program.
- Preferred 1-3 years of leadership experience relative to radiology.
- Preferred knowledge and experience with JRCERT accreditation standards
Hourly Pay Range, Part-time: $40.00 – $50.00
