You may take a certification exam offered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, upon graduation from an accredited X-ray program. An important aspect which has to be taken into consideration is being represented by the fact that you must complete 24 hours of continuing education every two years, to be recertified, or registered.
The employment in the field of radiology is expected to grow faster than the average for all occupations through 2014, considering the fact that the population grows and ages, increasing the demand for diagnostic imaging.
