A psychiatric technician program will train and prepare you to become a licensed psychiatric technician, which is in the forefront of care and treatment of patients with mental illnesses or developmental disabilities. It is accredited by the State Board of Vocational Nurses and Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPT). Entry-level pay is typically given to those that go through the psychiatric technician program, and depending on certification or degree completion status, it can go higher.
