How to Apply

Choosing a career pathway can be challenging, and we’re here to help. Before committing to a program, you should know how to apply. Luckily, we are here to help. We can evaluate your skills, competencies, and interests. Furthermore, we’ll discuss your passions and show you how to turn them into a career in healthcare. There are four basic steps to consider. 

Step 1   Select a program.
Step 2   Attend an information session or program webinar.
Step 3   Meet with an advisor.
Step 4   Apply to the program of your choice.
Step 5   Pay an application registration fee and submit the required admissions documents.

What Are the Program Requirements?

General Admission Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years old with a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Complete and pass the entrance exam with a minimum score.
  • Meet with an admissions advisor.

Additional Requirements for Programs:

  • Vocational Nurse: Complete the Essential Medical Bioscience prerequisite course with a passing grade. 
  • Medical Assistant and Dental Assistant: Submit a college application essay. This should include why you want to become a Dental Assistant or Medical Assistant, your attributes, and other qualifications.
  • Physical Therapist Assistant: Attend an informational session and complete the PTA admissions assessment test. You also need to complete anatomy and physiology, college math, college English, and various other courses with at least a passing grade of C or above.

Applying to our programs doesn’t need to be intimidating or confusing. Our admissions advisors will help you every step of the way. All you need to bring on your first visit is a list of questions. You will need a registration form, a government ID, and proof of high school graduation or equivalency to apply. Some programs may require additional documentation. Once you’ve decided to move forward with the admissions process, an admission advisor will provide you with an admissions checklist detailing what you need to complete the admissions process.

To be considered for Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts programs, an application/registration fee of $100 must be paid in full.

How Do I Apply for Financial Aid?

Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts realizes every situation is different, and each student is unique. That is why we offer financial aid to those who qualify. There are several ways to pay for college, and our financial-aid team is always ready to answer your questions and help you stay informed.
