State Renewal of Rad Tech Program

Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts’ Radiologic Technology program proudly announces its State of California—Radiologic Health Branch accreditation renewal. The renewal comes after an extensive review and inspection of the program’s curriculum, clinical education process, teaching methodologies, and course content.

The program utilizes the current curricular standards defined by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists and the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology per the learning outcomes used by the State of California Department of Public Health.

Teaching methodologies include interactive instruction, computer-enhanced learning modules, PowerPoint presentations, and live demonstrations in a setting that incorporates classroom learning and simulated lab experiences. Students further enhance their learning as they rotate through various medical imaging departments to obtain clinical experience and instruction under the direction of radiologic technologists and radiologists.
