Vocational Nurse Program

Program Description

The Vocational Nurse Diploma Program integrates nursing, behavioral science, and physical sciences principles to prepare our students to care for clients with various needs.

Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) monitor patient health, administer primary care, and keep patient records. They work under doctors’ or registered nurses’ supervision and are essential to the medical team.

X-Ray Technician with Medical Assistant Skills Diploma Program

Program Description

The X-ray Technician with Medical Assistant Skills program prepares competent imaging professionals committed to professionalism, ethical behavior, technical knowledge, radiation protection, and patient care.

Students who complete this program may pursue an entry-level position as an X-ray technician in physicians’ offices, chiropractic clinics, imaging centers, industrial health locations, government agencies, and hospitals.

X-Ray Technician graduates who complete the diploma program must pass the California State Examination to secure an X-Ray Technician position.

Duties may include patient assessment and care, vital signs, and x-ray examination of the chest, upper and lower extremities, and torso-skeletal body parts.
