Find Out About Ultrasound Programs
Date: June 18, 2018
Doctors now recommend ultrasound programs to pregnant women who want to learn more about their child’s health from an early pregnancy stage. With these Ultrasound Programs’ help, future mothers can have the beautiful opportunity to see their child in an early stage of their life and have the first pictures of the future born.
How does an ultrasound program function?
To better understand how the ultrasound program functions, it should be explained that the ultrasound represents a form of radiation but not an ionizing one. It occurs in sound waves, such as many energy sources emitted at such high frequencies that the human ear cannot hear them. These waves move at two (2) to four (4) megahertz, a frequency higher than AM radio.
They reach the internal organs and then bounce back to be interpreted by scanners to produce an image on a TV-type screen. The ultrasound scanner is positioned over the abdomen for pregnancy care, but a trans-vaginal or trans-rectal probe can also be used in some cases.
Thus, the device can take pictures of the scanned image, similar to a movie film. Through this Ultrasound Program, both the doctor and the mother can see fetal activity, gender, and how the baby is positioned.
Three Types of Ultrasound
The ultrasound program includes three types of ultrasound: ultrasound scanning device, External Fetal Monitors, respectively Doptones. The latter gives sound as the waves are reflected from the baby’s heart so that mothers can hear their baby’s little heart beating for the first time.
