General Description

The San Mateo main campus is located in a modern professional plaza. The campus houses classrooms, an imaging lab, an anatomy and physiology lab, a patient-care lab, a phlebotomy and medical assisting lab, a physical therapy lab, a fitness lab and a computer lab. There are administrative and faculty offices, a library, a reception area, and separate student and faculty lounges. The imaging lab is equipped with ultrasound scanners capable of performing general and specialized procedures including 3D and colorflow imaging. Standard equipment includes a library of text/case studies and reference books, video monitors, computers, TV sets and VCRs, journals, and audio and video aides. The patient-care lab is equipped with hospital beds, anatomical models, hi-fidelity interactive simulation mannequins and other patient-care equipment. The medical assistant lab is equipped with exam tables and equipment for examination and diagnostic assistance including scales, EKG machines, as well as urine and blood testing. The physical therapy laboratory is equipped with hi-lo treatment tables, modalities, and exercise equipment. The phlebotomy lab is equipped with anatomical charts and models, specimen collection equipment and supplies.

Our program offerings include Vocational Nurse (LPN or LVN) Program, AS in Ultrasound Technology (Diagnostic Medical Sonography), AS in MRI Technology Program, AS in Physical Therapist Assistant Program, Medical Assistant Program, Nursing Assistant Program, and Phlebotomy Program.   • According to our statistical data more than 17% our students are from: South San Francisco, Redwood City, Oakland, San Bruno, Sunnyvale, Burlingame, Foster City.
  • Students from Palo Alto, Union City, San Leandro, Newark, Pacifica, Berkeley, Alameda, Mountain View, San Carlos, Dublin and other nearby locations combine 16% of our student population.
