Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts is proud to announce that the school will offer eligible students grants via the CARES ACT. The grants will help students facilitate the smooth transition of their academic programs online.

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) were signed on March 27, 2020. One of the many crucial provisions of the bi-partisan legislation allows the Department of Education to direct funding to organizations, including Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts, which provides qualified students with direct financial assistance.

“We have applied for maximum student emergency grant funds available to our institution through the CARES Act. These funds will be distributed, in their entirety, to all eligible students,” stated Burke Malin, COO of Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts.

“Our administration and accounting departments have worked hard to prepare for the grant distribution process. The entire Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts team is working hard to expedite this activity for the students. This CARES Act ‘grant distribution project’ at Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts focuses on helping students during this unprecedented crisis.”

Once the Department of Education releases eligible funds, qualified Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts students will begin receiving access to eligible CARES act funding.

“Our Financial Aid department will also work with those most impacted students and further distribute additional funds in the second phase of this effort.”

All students’ safety, health, and success remain the top priority of Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts during this national tragedy. As a provider of allied health, nursing, and medical imaging programs, Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts’ classroom and lab simulation content is delivered via an online learning platform.
