On August 5, 2014, the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT®) awarded re-accreditation for eight years to the Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts’ Radiologic Technology Program.

JRCERT® is the only agency recognized by the United States Department of Education (U.S. DOE) to accredit traditional and distance delivery educational programs in radiography, radiation therapy, magnetic resonance, and medical dosimetry. The maximum duration awarded by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology in this category is eight years. The Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts program achieved the maximum accreditation award from JRCERT.®

The RT program lasts 24 months, including preparation for the registry exam. The program includes didactic and laboratory training and a clinical rotations component correlating with theoretical knowledge. Currently, only the Concord Campus offers the program.

The Radiologic Technology Program is accredited by The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT®) and approved by the California Department of Public Health Radiologic Health Branch (CDPH-RHB) as a radiographer school. The program also holds State approval as a fluoroscopy school.
