Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts is pleased to announce the approval of the Associate of Science degree in Radiologic Technology. The Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) approved the Program in January 2015.
“We are so pleased to offer this new program. It opens the door for many more applicants. It satisfies the national registry requirements that every applicant has a minimum of an associate degree to sit for the national examination. We know that the new curriculum will serve our students at whatever academic level they are up to, including graduation from high school,” said Ted Vanderlaan, Radiologic Technology Program Director of Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts.
The A.S. in Radiologic Technology Program length is two (2) years. Currently, the program is offered at the Concord Campus only. The program’s philosophy is to graduate students who will demonstrate the knowledge and skills required of competent entry-level radiologic technologists.
The program also ensures that these graduates perform radiologic procedures defined by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists Practice Standards. After completion of the course, students may take the registry examination.
