Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts now offers the newest and most comprehensive radiologic technology program to prepare its graduates for a rewarding career in the technologically advanced medical imaging field.

Selected students will prepare for the National and the State of California certification exams. Passing the exams will make it possible to work as a radiographer in medical imaging facilities. They may create X-ray images, CT scans, and angiographic studies. Radiographers will experience diverse responsibilities, such as imaging in the surgical environment and trauma settings.

The program utilizes the current curricular standards defined by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists and the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology. Per the learning outcomes used by the State of California Department of Public Health.

Teaching methodologies include interactive instruction, computer-enhanced learning modules, PowerPoint presentations, and live demonstrations in a setting that incorporates classroom learning and simulated lab experiences. Student interns further enhance their learning as they rotate through various medical imaging departments to obtain clinical experience and instruction under the direction of radiologic technologists and radiologists. Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts is a private school. Students are carefully selected based on their abilities to excel in diagnostic imaging and their desire to work in a medical environment centered on patient care.

Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts provides high-quality radiologic technologists. We also assist employers by offering classes for existing radiologic technologists. These include fluoroscopy, venipuncture, radiation protection, and special procedures. The RT courses are offered at reduced rates for technologists employed by the program’s affiliated clinical education centers.

At present, there is a shortage of medical professionals. Local clinical facilities will enjoy a constant stream of erudite technologists to augment their workforce. The local communities will benefit from the quality care they receive from these exceptional radiologic technologists.
