Date: August 19, 2022

In eight (8) months, medical skills, professional certifications, and a career launch? Yes, it is possible, and you can make that change happen in the Gurnick Academy Medical Assistant program. Our Medical Assistant program educates and graduates students ready to enter the Medical Assisting workforce. Students learn and practice the skills utilized in outpatient facilities’ administrative (front office) and clinical (back office) sections. Here, students study human anatomy and physiology and are immersed in Medical Terminology used in healthcare today.

Program Length

Our Medical Assistant program takes only eight (8) months* to complete and consists of seven (7) courses. The program enrolls on a rolling basis every four (4) weeks for maximum accessibility. While taking the coursework, a student’s typical day includes didactic lectures and laboratory work. Classes are a mix of hours on campus, balanced by hours completed at home. Each week includes two (2) on-campus sessions, each lasting four (4) hours. Day and evening classes are available, coupled with distance education sessions. This provides time and commuter flexibility for students who work or manage other responsibilities while completing the program.
